What is Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by verifying your identity in two different ways:

1. Something you know (your password)

2. Something you have (like a one-time code sent to your device)

Think of it like a double-lock system - even if someone gets your password, they can't access your account without the second verification method.

Setting Up 2FA

• Go to your Account Settings at https://app.azura.xyz/account?tab=profile

• Look for the Two-Factor Authentication section

• Click the "Set up" button

• Using your preferred authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator):

  • Open the app

  • Scan the displayed QR code

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup

How We Use 2FA

Adaptive Security System

Our platform uses an intelligent, context-aware security system that:

• Automatically assesses the risk level of each login attempt

• Triggers 2FA only when additional verification is needed

• Adapts to your usual login patterns

When You'll See 2FA

The system may request 2FA when it detects:

• Login from a new location

• Unusual login times

• Unrecognized devices

• Access from outside trusted networks

• Other suspicious patterns

Current Implementation

• 2FA is currently implemented for the login process

• The system uses Auth0's adaptive authentication to determine when 2FA is necessary

• You may not see 2FA prompts on every login if the system determines the login is secure
